  • Product Info

The ultra light and compact Aquamira Frontier Filter easily slips into a day pack, shirt pocket or travel luggage and is always ready when you need it. Use the Frontier Filter to drink from any bottle, cup or directly from water sources.

    FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY

All Aquamira filter systems use the "torturous path" method of filtration, designed to provide greater effectiveness than common thin-walled fiber filters. The tiny intricate pathways in the filter trap 99.9% of harmful Cryptosporidium, Giardia, and other pathogens, including waterborne insect larvae and many bacteria such as E. Coli. The activated carbon reduces waterborne chemicals and improves water taste while Miraguard™ Antimicrobial technology suppresses the growth of bacteria, algae, fungus, mold and mildew within the filter media.

  • Instructions for Use

    BEFORE USING:
To remove harmless carbon dust on initial use, draw water halfway up straw, remove straw and discard water, then re-attach straw and drink normally.

DIRECTIONS:  Expand straw and attach wide end firmly onto filter outlet. Fill bottle or cup from water source, insert filter and drink from straw.  Do not submerge drinking straw into contaminated water.  Allow filter to air dry for 48 hours before storing.

Note: For maximum protection, use the Frontier Filter in conjunction with Aquamira Water Treatment Drops or Aquamira Water Purifier Tablets.

  • Tips & Testimonials

    Testimonials –

"The Frontier Emergency Water Filters are great! I’ll take them with me on a short trip and have full confidence in them. They are so much better than a heavy complicated water filter. They are lighter and don't clog up and they last a lot longer than the 50 gallon rating on the package. I have used the Frontier in some really nasty water sources in cattle country in the American West and have full confidence in them for my next hike through Africa."
-Justin Lichter aka “Trauma” -- Extreme Long Distance Backpacker. Completed all three ‘long trails’ in under one year: Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail and Eastern Continental Trail – (the extended version of the Appalachian Trail: Cape Gaspe to Key West).

"I've been looking for a small water filtration system for my hiking pack. When I saw this on a survival gear review online, I immediately bought it. It's so small and light that everyone should add it to their camping/hiking gear, emergency bag or glove box/first aid kit. It also fits comfortably in a pocket for extreme situations when you don't necessarily have access to your other gear."- Jennine W., Kenmore, WA

"This product is an excellent addition to any survival kit as a last resort back-up to filters or conventional water treatment. Doesn't take up much room at all, and very light."- R.S., CA

"Take it from a guy who drinks copious amounts of water, this filter is the king of survival items. "Survivorman" Les Stroud has, in fact, contracted giardia in his survival adventures. Les is a teacher who's lessons are sometimes taught at the expense of his health. His lesson? Don't take chances with parasites or bacteria. This handy little filter fits in your back pocket and will filter up to 20 gallons, enough to sustain one person for days to weeks. I keep one in the car, one at home, and I never hike anywhere without one."- Ivan O.

"I live near a river, and it's nice to be able to cary this in my fanny pack on any day hike for emergencies. I plan to get several!" - Benjamin W.

"This one of those "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" items.I have not yet needed it,because I have been lucky enough to not have to need it.That said,it could really save your life at best, and save you from some kind of disease at worst in an emergency situation.Besides, they are really inexpensive and fit into your pocket. How much is your life worth?"- K. Smith, San Diego, CA

    Additional Customers Comments –

"I saw this item in an online example for a survival kit. My sons are scouts and needed to put together a wilderness survival kit. These are absolutely perfect. When the other parents saw these, they asked me to order for them. I feel really comfortable knowing that these are easy and ready to use at the last minute."-Elizabeth N., Texas
