    TRUE OR FALSE?

Household detergents can make wool garments ‘itchy.’

True. Washing wool garments in household detergents can alter the fibers to make the garments itchy as well as yellowing colors and promoting pilling. Backpacking Light founder and research scientist Ryan Jordan describes it this way; “You can see how household detergents damage surface fibers of wool under a scanning electron microscope. It’s like the difference between Lance Armstrong’s shaven legs and Grizzly Adams’ face.” To maintain merino wool’s excellent softness, performance and appearance use ReviveX® Wool Cleaner Concentrate.

"I own and use a lot of wool garments, some of which are very expensive. A friend who's something of an outdoor gear expert recommended it. My experiences have been excellent – the garments are beautifully clean, the stains are gone and the colors and weave are preserved perfectly."-Washington

"This is a fantastic product for cleaning wool garments. Washed wool sweaters and pants on my washing machine's "hand wash" cycle making sure I followed manufacturer's instructions. The garments had a nice smell and cleaned up great. " - R. Roby
