    High performance lubricant for water tight and air tight zippers. Protects against rust, corrosion, chlorine and salt in all temperatures. Long lasting, contains no paraffin or silicone. Available in 1/2 oz. Blister Pack

    Zip Tech™ Zipper Lubricant is designed and formulated to protect and lubricate all types of watertight and airtight zippers. Zip Tech lubricates and protects the zippers and zipper skirts on dry suits, survival suits, environmental suits, dry bags and more. Special ingredients inhibit rust, resist corrosion, and repel dirt, sand and organic residue. Zip Tech helps protect against exposure to harmful chlorine, salt and pollutants. Zip Tech will not flake or jam in extreme temperatures and contains no silicone or paraffin.

  • Instructions for Use

    For best results, preclean with McNett Zip Care™ Zipper Cleaner.

    Thoroughly clean zipper, removing all sand, dirt and other debris.

    Open zipper and apply Zip Tech sparingly only to the outer teeth of zipper.

    To thoroughly distribute lubricant, close and open zipper carefully.

    Repeat process until zipper moves freely.

    Wipe away excess.

    To prolong zipper life, reapply Zip Tech periodically and prior to prolonged storage periods.

    To find pinhole leaks in Gore-Tex® fabric dry suits: 1) Turn the suit inside out. 2) Soak the tip of a rag in rubbing alcohol and dab over the suspect area. 3) The hole will show up as a contrasting color. Allow area to dry and seal (on the inside surface) with Aquaseal®.

    BCD Maintenance

    In addition to regular cleaning, a few simple checks after each dive will help keep your B.C. in top condition: Look for small tears and punctures, loose stitching and stressed fasteners. Repair with Aquaseal to prevent further damage. Check for leaks by pressurizing the B.C. using the oral or power inflator, then submerging the B.C in a tub of water. Slowly rotate the B.C. in all directions, keeping an eye out for air bubbles. Mark the location of the leak, allow the B.C. to dry,then repair with Aquaseal.
